Manhood is not something that most men consider very often. And that’s all right, but without awareness, you can have thoughts, feelings, or even emotions that aren’t beneficial to you, but do influence you.
They may, for instance, affect how satisfied you are with your personality, your body, or your performance in life. Being a man can be very enjoyable. Things get complicated when you’re not sure what you expect of your own role, or when your environment has expectations that don’t match with what you think is right. Do you feel free to be yourself as a man? Which steps are you not taking, knowing that you would take them if you had the courage or knew how? These are typical questions that accompany the forming of your identity.
Taking a deliberate look at your identity can be the necessary step when your relationship comes to a halt, when you have trouble at work, in family conflicts, or when you strongly desire something different than you have (to enter in a relationship, to take the next steps at work).
